We are currently looking for:
- Waterfront Coordinator/Senior Guard, 18 and over
- Junior Guard(s), 15 and over
- and Boat person(s), 15 and over
Waterfront staff are required to run a safe waterfront, supported by Camp safety equipment, provincial regulations and your training, on a Health Department inspected waterfront.
Come for the whole summer or chose a Camp Session or two. We are currently specifically looking for Waterfront staff for Canadian Yearly Meeting Gathering July 24-31.Travel funds may be available to get qualified Waterfront staff to Camp. Please ask!
Work starts on the first half-day of Camp Sessions and ends on the last half-day. Pay is $20-$22/ hour for one 4-hour shift per day, paid by Camp Session and including full room and board. Full National Lifeguard certification is necessary for Waterfront co-ordinator / Senior LifeGuard. Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross required for Junior Guards.
Camp NeeKauNis specific on-site training and on-line training provided. Daily work can include: swim testing, boating supervision, and help with shared cleaning tasks, Camp Program and First Responder duties.
Required Qualifications:
- Full NLS certification with Standard First Aid for Senior Guard/Waterfront Co-ordinator, 18 and over.
- Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross for Junior Guards, 15 and over.
- Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross an asset for Boat Persons, 15 and over.
- Boating experience, canoing and kayaking training an asset.
- Boating certificate can be obtained after hiring.
- Vulnerable sector check for those 18 and over.
